Got it handed to me in a barebones state. Pieced the parts together,
sprtized contact cleaner on the RAM slot that prevented successful BIOS
POST and getting ready to install stuff on it.

When it shuts down via WIndows 7, it doesn't complete the process. All
LED lights are off, but I can't restart until I hold down the power button
and see the fingerprint sensor LED light up. I hit the power again and it
still start the post process.

The only hardware mod I have performed is to short two wires on the DC-IN
cable to disable the laptop detecting a 90W (and not a 135W) AC adapter.
The latpop still behaved this way even before performing this mod.

Can I change this power behavior? Also wondering if this is the symptom
of a defective motherboard, since it had a bad RAM slot.

Thanks for reading.

Got batteries for the T410 and T420 which may fall under the recall
featured in Tom's Hardware:

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/lenovo-battery-recall-models,26412.html

I recall Lenovo offering an executable to test eligibility.

Is the recall restricted to one battery per Thinkpad? Apple has required
serial numbers for laptop battery recalls and quality programs.

Wondering if there are other restrictions and qualifications that should
come to my attention.
